Flutist Gina Luciani has established herself as one of today’s most versatile and sought-after musicians. From the recording studio to the concert stage, she has performed on acclaimed film and television scores and with renowned artists across genres, bringing artistry, precision, and depth to every project she undertakes.
From the Academy Awards, where she performed Beyoncé’s “Be Alive” from King Richard and Billie Eilish’s Oscar-winning “No Time To Die”, to NBC’s Wicked: One Wonderful Night special with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Gina has appeared on some of the world’s most high-profile stages.
She has performed or recorded with a wide range of artists, including John Williams, Carrie Underwood, Billy Idol, Jennifer Hudson, Guns N’ Roses, and Steve Lacy; performed with the Wu-Tang Clan at Coachella; and is a returning member of the Game Awards Orchestra. She was also the featured flute soloist on “Land Down Under” with Colin Hay of Men At Work for ABC’s nationally televised Greatest Hits.

She has been featured as the flute soloist on acclaimed scores such as the Oscar-nominated Minari and the Emmy-nominated Planet Earth II and Chef’s Table, as well as M3GAN, Arcane, Cobra Kai, Locke & Key, Windfall, and League of Legends. Her other credits include The Simpsons, Straight Outta Compton, Moana 2, Only Murders in the Building, and The Nun.
Beyond the studio, her artistry has reached millions online. Her viral arrangement of “Married Life” from Up, originally composed by Michael Giacchino, has appeared in over one million social media videos, many with tens of millions of views, connecting her music with audiences around the world.

Outside the recording studio, Gina has been a soloist with the Salt Lake Symphony, Utah Valley Symphony, Long Beach Mozart Festival, Colburn Chamber Music Society, and Colburn Contemporary Players. She has been featured as a guest artist for the Grand Performances concert series, San Diego Guitar Festival, the National Flute Association Convention, and LACMA’s Sundays Live series, broadcast on KUSC. She has also performed with ensembles across Southern California, including the San Diego Symphony, The Echo Society, Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, Long Beach Opera, and American Contemporary Ballet.
Gina has released two albums, beginning with her self-titled album, which highlights works by Rhenè Baton, Georges Bizet, Eugène Bozza, Ian Clarke, Benjamin Godard, Georges Hüe, Lowell Liebermann, and Astor Piazzolla, blending beloved flute classics with original arrangements and rarely heard gems. Her second album, Hyperion, offers an intimate exploration of music for flute and harp.

Gina earned her Bachelor of Music from the Colburn Conservatory of Music and her Master of Music from the University of Southern California under the mentorship of Jim Walker. She now serves on faculty at the Colburn School, teaching her signature course Digitally Savvy Musician and presenting masterclasses nationwide at institutions including Berklee College of Music, UCLA, USC, and on NPR’s From the Top. Her lectures on music technology, branding, and entrepreneurship reflect her dedication to helping modern musicians thrive. She is also the creator of Practice Note: The Practice Notebook for Musicians, which transforms the way musicians set goals, reflect on their progress, and maximize the impact of their practice.
She previously served on the Alumni Advisory Council for USC’s Thornton School of Music and on the university’s Board of Governors, where she was nominated to the Executive Committee as Co-Chair for Student Outreach. She is both an Avid Artist, featured in the “I Am Avid” campaign, and a Global Ambassador for Trevor James Flutes.
